– The Heart Is A Bomb – Samuel Claiborne – With Bill Laswell the bass maestro around, the beats are a drummy pulse like a trip hopnightmare and Samuel has a gritty spoken word edge to it, like he is escaping from New York or something… then there is the guitar solo of course – B+

– Me And My Guitar – James Taylor – I can’t take James in blues mode – C+

– Winning Streak – Ashley Monroe – Not bad, not the second coming you know, but this is a nice little rinky dink piano country rocker, sounds a little like Presley – B

– the Golden rule – Gilbert O’Sullivan – Back in the day back To Front was a big album for me, though I haven’t heard anything but the hits since, this reminds me of just have playful and intelligent a songwriter he could – B

– No Sleeep (feat J. Cole) – Janet Jackson – Two folks I like more in theory than in practice on this snozearama – C+

– Prepared – Jill Scott – After dismissing the album last week I’ve been returning from time to time in the hops I missed something. I can’t hear it, she’s like a bad Erykah Badu without the jazz jones – C

– Flight 505 – I always thought they should have ended the album with it – A

– Trouble – Keith Richards – he is rich, famous, plays a mean guitar, a happy man, he doesn’t need my approval which is good news because he hasn’t got it – C

– Who Will Pray – We Came  As Romans – The honest roar of… well, at least I’m guessing they’re honest – D+

– I Dare You – Bea Miller – The verse is OK, the chorus by the numbers – C
