1. Back to Living Again – Curtis Mayfield – This is it folks, the single greatest secular hymn ever, even if with Curtis, Go is always in the details. His last greatest moments off his last great album, which Eric Clapton, taking the award for best album, said “This belongs to Curtis”. Absolutely, Eric, well said. I recommend this song to my friend Edward Huerta…. And everyone else… A+

2. Agony – Chris Pine – Funny stuff but you need to see it – B

3. What’s Going On – Marvin Gaye – brother, brother, brother – B+

4. Solitary Thinkin’ – Lee Ann Womack – Gorgeous little country boozer – B+

5. Trippin’ On A Hole In A Paper Heart – Stone Temple Pilots – I wonder if they realized it at the time… that they would never ever come close to this sorta greatness again – A

6. Follow – Mary J. Blige, Disclosure – This sounds a lot like Mary J singing with Disclosure – B+

7. Lake Song – The Decemberists – Sounds like REM – C

8. Wishing well – Screaming Females – Sounds like the Yardbirds – B+

9. Nature Trips – Eyedress – What’s the word for the drums, I’ve got it here somewhere, skittles… no not skittles… wait, it’ll come to me – B

10. Earned It – The Weeknd – ordinary even by new r&b standards – C+
