1. Sleep With A Stranger – Nikki Lane – She is no Lydia Loveless though she comes from a similar world, her twang signifies a middlebrow intelligence rather then a high brow indie wiseassness. Dan Auerbach doesn’t help but doesn’t harm – B
2. Black Widow – Iggy Azalea, Rita Ora – This gets old pretty damn fast, call her Iffy Azalea – C-
3. Arrow – Liam Finn – He is the anti-Wesley Wolfe: there may be talent here but his songs annoy me – C
4. Wasted Words – Widespread Panic, Derek Trucks – Live version and not bad either, but one of those songs that’s difficult to definitively screw up – B
5. Topfloor Cabana – Naughty Boy, Ed Sheeran – Much better than “Sing” though a little too over felt – B-
6. Secret Love – Hunter Hayes – So Hunter finally comes out – D+
7. Change Your Mind – The Horrors – Boring mess – C-
8. Bad – David Guetta, Showtek, Vessey – Cutting edge if this was 2011, in 2014 I Still have a soft stop for Guetta and the synth is a zoomy thang – B-
9. Promised Land – Elvis Presley – With a cracker band this is a great Berry cover – A
10. New York Morning – Elbow – Apparently we were nice to Toko. That’s true but Sean? Not so much – B+
