1 – Concrete And Clay – Unit 4 + 2 – they can thank the late great UK DJ Kenny Everett for this hit, a gay pixie (closeted at the time, of course, though how we didn’t see it I have no idea), Bob Crewe produced the same song by a different band, but this is the one – A

2 – Miss Armor – Azealia Banks – You know how you know you’ve seen a great show? When you begin to wonder if they botched the production on the one you’ve loved for months – A-

3 – Jules – Rhett Miller – This ain’t bad, the break is really good… just a little proforma – B

4 – She Said Yeah – Paul McCartney – It might not be his best solo album, Run Devil, Run, but it is in the top five… maybe higher – A

5 – 212 – Azealia Banks – Her calling card and a reaction to Nicki Minaj comparisons – A

6 – Peroxide Hearts – Crocodiles – Really good fuzz rocker – B+

7 – Saturn’s Pattern – Paul Weller – The last album was a goodie, this one not so much – C+

8 – Ong Ong – Blur – Unless they decide to tour the States, say goodbye to Blur for another decade – B+

9 – Saturday Night Live – Bay City Rollers – At the Budoken in 1977, eye yi eye – B

10 – El Doroado – Pfarmer – Blows out their pop appeal pretty quickly – B-
