2. X – Chris Brown – The title track off the newbie is old fashioned r&b soul – B+
3. Freebird (Freestyle) – Jhene Aiko – Apparently freestyle and repetition go hand in hand – B-
4. I Want You Back – Jackson 5 – The opening piano glissando sells you before the song really begins – A+
5. Tidal Wave – Interpol – Tell me again how these guys are not a Joy Division rip off? – B-
6. Glory And Gore – Lorde – She has a point here, you can’t have one without the other – B
7. Try To Make A Fire Burn Again – Dawne Landes – Mrs. Townes Van Zandt to you buster, and a very tasteful country chick she is – B
8. Favorite Things – The Replacements – They have been starting their sets with this one, though in real life Let It be land, it is the sophomore track on Let It be. It typifies everything I love and hate about the band. It shambles with purpose and the singing is a gorgeous rasp but the melody misses – A-
9. Brand New World Order – The Ghost Of A Saber Tooth Tiger – This sounds like Yoko -and not in a good way – C-
10. Fuck ‘Em Only We Know – Banks – This is a very very good song, a big ballad with a sting in its tail – A-
