1. Rather Be Cash Cash Remix – Clean Bandit – One of the biggest songs of the year gets bigger with the pop DJ duo Cash Cash superb remix, it’s like listening to the song on steroids with House-y zoom effects on the track and Jesse’s vocals going through the roof – A
2. Rewind – Rascal Flatts – New song to salt the mines (or poison the well) on their Greatest Hits volume. Hard to believe anything can be this terrible. Name dropping George Straits name doesn’t help at all – C
3. Home – Dolly Parton – First single and a good little heartbreaker. Name dropping Hank Williams doesn’t hurt – B
4. Full Moon And Empty Arms – Frank Sinatra – Full blown ballad 1950s style, though hardly his greatest moments (sounds like a movie theme) but Dylan is covering it on his website so… Grade: B
5. West Coast – Lana Del Rey – It is time to fess up: she sucks live, kills it on recordings – B+
6. Lay Your Hands On Me – Dolly Parton – Bon Jovi cover and give credit to Dolly, she plays it straight up no chaser – B+
7. Ain’t It Fun – Paramore – Disco beat on an iffy Maroon 5-y pop move. It doesn’t quite work – B-
8. Still Into You – Paramore – Now this is more like it – A
9. Call Me – Blondie – This 2014 version works where the others didn’t because Moroder’s disco sheen sounds crisper and wider with modern tech behind it – A
10. Everyone’s At It – Lily Allen – This is what she does: catchy smartass pop – B+
