– Heaven Is A Place On Earth – Belinda Carlisle – Sounds like a hair metal song rewritten for the popcharts – B
– It’s A Wonderful Lie – Mary Lou Lord – Terrific jingle jangle take on Westerberg’s deep album track – A
– It’s A Wonderful Lie – Paul Westerberg – His take captures the melody better, Mary Lou flattens it a little. Some self portrait – A
– Private Eyes – Hall And Oates – Convincing blue eyed soul meets disco – A
– I Can’t Go For That ( No Can Do) – Hall And Oates – Two songs, the bridge and the chorus, fighting it out – A
– Don’t Tell Me What To DO – Air Traffic Controller – Gorgeous folker – A-
– Asheville Skies – Milk carton Kids – Singlehandedly makes Americana more than smething to laugh at – A
– Power – Kanye West – All that power? Austin Powers? He was drinking now he’s driving – A+
– Touch The Sky – Kanye West – With Lupe Fiasco and a pretty good sample off “Move On Up” – A-
