2. Moll’s Song – Emily Watson, Steven Tyler – from the Tim Robins movie, very powerful meat, well song serious musical stuff – B+
3. Here Comes The baby – Cat Stevens – From the UK equivalent of the Brill Building, pure brilliance from a kitten – A
4. Here Comes My Baby – Yo La Tengo – Though this is the version to beat – A+
5. Drink It Up – Kenny Chesney – The man may not have many good points but one of them is complete fucking weirdness. Man, he is as odd as Randy Travis – C-
6. The Beigeness – Kate Tempest – The UKs great rapper, she is just about the best round here. At the very least, New York would dig her – A
7. Our Love… – The Rural Alberta Advantage – One of my best friends favorite bands, this is the opening song off their new album and they do loud soft well, melodies less so – B
8. Desporado – Diana Krall – Here’s an idea, why don’t you take it slower? – C+
9. A Place called Space – The Juan Maclean – Former LCD Soundsystem playing electronic buzz bytes, crafty and well done – B+
10. Something Blue – Neil Diamond – Ever since Rick Rubin had the asinine idea that Diamond was, in fact Johnny cash, I figured it was the end of Neil’s recording career. But if this first song off his upcoming album is any thing to go by, his skills as a first rate melodic master haven’t quite left him yet – A-
