The EDMagle Has Landed

The EDMagle Has Landed

1. The Days – Avicii – Robbie Williams takesover on lead vocals this time, the track is a colorful little folk pop number, nothing much but catchier as hell and it builds and it builds. Should be huge –at least in the UK – B+

2. Long Stretch Of Love – Lady Antebellum – Chuck Eddy claims it is the best song off the new album, and who am I to argue with Chuck Eddy? – B+

3. Fool In The Rain – Led Zeppelin – Absolute classic, this is the sort of track that made them the best in class, a completely unique blues pop sound – A

4. Face Drop – Fly Panda – In a world where everybody is running variants on EDM (see Avicii right above you), this is something else again: a power HOUSE anthem – A

5. Miss White – Slow Hands – Really nice slow funk groove – A-

6. Boom – Laleh – Nice hook carries it – B

7. Big Unknown – Sons Of Bill – Mixes “My Sweet Lord” with “Me And Bobby McGee” but only to get to the other side – B+

8. Fortify – Kate Miller – Nicely dub drums for a mood moment – B

9. Joy Of Nothing – Foy Vance, Bob Harris – Excellent folk song – B+

10. Blue Planet Eyes – The Preatures – This is one of the best singles of the week, these guys deserve the buzz – A-
