1. Numb – Nick Jonas and Angel Haze – At the start of the year, Angel Haze released a terrific album and the good will does her well on this state of the art dance track by the former teen idol, trying to revive his career with this tight beats heavy dance track – B
2. You’re The Cream In My Coffee – Nat King Cole – The piano break is so wonderful and the lyric a smart love completion line which rhymes necessity with recipe and is the better for it – A+
3. Subterranean – FooFighter – This starts off not like the worst thing on worse, the “you might think you know me” bit but before the end of the first verse it begins to flounder and by the break it is horrible. This guy can not write songs – D-
4. Nervana – Pink Floyd – Oh yeah, get it. Pink Floyd hard rock and not terrible – B
5. When I Get My Hands On You – The New Basement Tapes – Sure, I hated the entire concept. Talk about overkill. But not all of it sucks, this Dylan track, band music song, with Marcus Mumford singing lead, is really good… maybe because it knows its place – B+
6. Life – Big KRIT – “Although I believe in God I need proof…” KRIT goes sci-fi with a good metaphor – B
7. Electric Love – BORNS – Superb band via Michigan now in L.A. and whose new EP Candy is a must here, this is the lead song and it is excellent electronic bubblegum – A-
8. You Know I Have To Go – Roykcopp – Gorgeous shimmering sounds but the vocals kill it – B
9. 4Am – Antemasque – I can’t take the singer – C
10. Heavy Metal And Reflective – Azealea Banks – Punning on metal with a terrific backing track but you keep expecting it to explode and the gratification isn’t delayed, it is denied – B+
