AAP-ROCKY-LSD

– LSD – A$AP Rocky – Here is where, well, actually, what the hell? This is rap? It sounds like indie rock on a 60s psyckick, the rap is minimal, just a verse, but the rest of it sounds like a dream of sex and love runs under the covers, this is a song of the year – A

– Seeing Other People – Two boys kiss but only for practise, in this wonderful confused teen sex song – A

– Waiting For Love – Avicii – ANother western – C+

– 21 – Hunter Hayes – This is a rarity, a song I couldn’t stand during the 1-2-3 count in – D

– Miss Narcissist – Courtney Love – Everything about this song is ugly as fuck and not in a good way, worse than I thought – D

– Born In The USA – Bruce Springsteen – maybe his greatest song, a perfect song, important and yet a huge national anthem and yet without a jingoistic moment – A+

– I’m On Fire – Bruce Springsteen – Sure, the video didn’t quite work, but the song was sexy and slow fusing – A

– Hold On, We’re Going Home – Drake, Majid Jordan – Drake’s great pop soul moment towers over his moodier moments, a soulful love song and a huge hit for him, what matters here is how out of his rap whinger role he could go and still steal the show – A

– Mysterious Ways – U2 – This is why people still adore this band… because they could do this! –  A

 – All Over Nothing AT All – Ella Fitzgerald And Her Savoy Eight  – This woman could sing, the song is nothing much and still sounds like heaven – B+
