1. Country Song – Happy Mondays – Originally called “Some Cunt from Preston” and not much of a shocker why the they changed its name, the Madchester monster band sounds ahead of its time even today: a blues beater with heavy heavy beats – A
2. Summer – Calvin Harris – This hasn’t taken off the way I thought it would, it is a little shadowy for the highlight burn of EDM pop, but it ain’t bad – B+
3. Wiggle – Jason Derulo – If you can get past the lyric it is a pleasant penny whistle diversion, and Snoop doesn’t manage to steal it – B+
4. Maps – Maroon 5 – same falsetto, same beat, not quite strong enough – B
5. Birch – Clean Bandit – A snoozer – B-
6. My Favorite Dress – The wedding Present – The Smiths wannabes from the late 1980s, and they kinda were on this track – B+
7. Disorder – Joy Division – The lick is major and so is the beat and so is the lost control coda from one I. Curtis – A+
8. Jim Bogart – The Front Bottoms – Modern folkies, but really really modern folkies, they are like American Los Campesinos – B+
9. I’m Your Baby Now – Ian McLagan And The Bumps – On the chance “Sha La La” wasn’t a fluke, I gave this a listen but… no, “Sha La La:” was a fluke – C
10. Guilty All The Same (feat Rakim) – Linkin Park – I feel guilty myself, but this is unbearable – D+
