– Memories Are Made Of This – Val Doonican – This doesn’t swing, it sways, the definition of easy listening, it takes an innocuous and lovely song and turns it into fluff. A gift the late Irish crooner had in abundance  – B+

– Death Is Not The End – Bob Dylan – Hidden on his much maligned (not by me -I loved it) Down In The Groove, this  song is a simple comfort of faith in a life eternal – B+

– Senorita – Vince Staples – What moves this into greatness is not its hard as nails “Fuck ya dead homies” but Future, who I seriously regret missing most of at Governors Ball last month, hook which is a wonder – A

– Fight Song – Rachel Platten – “This is my fight song, my take back my life song…” Taylor is a fan but all Taylor’s music taste is in her mouth, the Andy Grammer opening act is awful, honey, she’s bad – C-

– Come On, Siobhan – Titus Andronicus – A 60s pop track a la Patrick with a whole lotta baggage weighing it down, great song break – B+

– …Going To Hell – Miguel – Mid album track,  the arrangement pulls it through – B

– Something Happened To Me Yesterday – The Rolling Stones – English dance hall tracing into psychedelia, a drug song plus basson – A

– Mother’s Little Helper – The Rolling Stones – What a drag it is getting old – A+

– Got To Get You Into My Life – The Beatles – The sax on this album? Wow, talk about rubber souls – A+

– Cool For The Summer – Demi Lovato – Took me a little while to warm up to this one but that chorus got to me on the fourth spin, “don’t tell your mother, kiss one another, die for each other, we’re cool for the summer”… not bad  – B+
