jimmy-buffett-s-margaritaville

– Margaritaville – Jimmy Buffett – 30 years after the fact, Jimmy still is defined by this masterpiece of loneliness, lost love and Tequila, a terrific heartbreaker which also placed him in a certain time and place he never left. It aches in all the right places as he searches for his lost shaker of salt – A+

– Cheeseburgers In Paradise – Jimmy Buffett – “A big warm bun and a huge chunka meat…?” The vegan’s lament – A

 – Pity Party – Melanie Martinez – Lesley Gore lives on! A good remakeish thing – A-

– In Time –  FKA twigs – This is the most mainstream she has ever performed, stripped off its electronica it is a very good singer songwriter track, the arrangement simply makes it better – A

– Chum – Earl Sweatshirt – Self portrait worthy of Tyler circa Goblin -it is about as real as it gets – A

– Talk About It – Dr. Dre – The album is beginning to click, but this “Trap” 101 track works as a self-portrait prequel – B-

– One Kind Of Love – Brian Wilson – Wilson finds true love – A-

– High On The Beach – Lana Del Rey – Is this it, now? Can we go home? – C

– Love Myself – Hailee Steinfeld – An ode to mastrturbation (Missed it the first time), so I guess it gets points for being a 2015 “She Bop” without the song – C+

– My Baby Gives It Away – Pete Townshend – WIth Ronnie Lane, I forgot how great Rough Mix is – A
