Nursie, Nursie – Ambrose And His Orchestra – The great WW2 English songwriters Art Noel and Don Pelos (they did “Kiss Me Goodnight, Sergeant Major”) find a way too make the conceit on this singalong stick in your throat along with the childlike rhymes because whenever you’re singing “nursie nursie imma getting worsie” maybe you’re not thinking high concept but you are thinking danger. 2. Mary Mary – Bruce Springsteen – A sweet nothing but a really sweet nothing – B+
3. Just Like A Woman – Bob Dylan – Time has been good to this chestnut, maybe it is the opening harp – A
4. Video Games – Boy George – I am not sure why George covered this, he only has his voice to add to it. Of course, it is a gorgeous voice… – B+
5. What Am I Doing Hanging – The Seldom Scene – Not sure about the changing the key in the chorus but the verses are excellent – B
6. Not A Bad Thing – Justin Timberlake – Masterful pop ballad – A
7. Loyal – Chris Brown – Not to be sexist or shallow, but this is so good maybe Rihanna deserved a punch in the face – B+
