1. My Eating Disorder – Titus Andronicus – Better live than on record, it is a strange unruly thing on record, an eight minute whirligig of tempo switches and self diagnosis central to the last album yet essentially flawed, so close to perfection and yet so far away – B
2. Apple Scruffs – George Harrison – His ode to the strange obsessed Beatle girls who stood guard over the Beatles for days, weeks, years. Today the harp shines right through – A
3. Blame – Calvin Harris, John Newman – I thought “Summer” was gonna be bigger than it was, this has another stellar vocal from Newman and a very catchy track cum hook – A-
4. Wasting All These Tears – Cassadee Pope – How annoying is she? Note how she spells her name and then double it – D+
5. Little Killer – Merchandise – the problem with this band isn’t that they’re bad, they are actually quite good. The problem is they aren’t good enough to be worth the time they need to click – B
6. My Heart Is Open – Maroon 5, Gwen Stefani – Not crazy about it but it sure sounds like a hit to me – B
7. Apples And cinnamon – Lily Taylor- It sounds like ambiance without the ambiance – B
8. Been Getting Money – Jeezy, Akon – Nice rough smooth double rappers – B+
9. Tied Up In Nottz – Sleaford Mods – Too scatalogical but still, it is as close as we get to spoken word in 2014 – B+
10. Brave enough – Half Japanese – Man, I love this song – A
