1. In For The Kill – Skrillex Remix – La Roux – Say what you will about Skrillex, and I blame him for popularizing dub step, when he gets a good song in his sites, and “In For The Kill” is a great song, he does wonders of deconstruction, here he pierces the songs shell with stuttered blasts of synths and looped vocals. It sounds like scratches great Grand Child – A
2. Father Electricity – Julian Casablancas And The Voidz – That gig 11-25 is speaking to me in toungues… – B+
3. Dying To Live – Cat Stevens – It’s ok I guess, but why the hell is he releasing a blues album? – B+
4. The Longest Time – Billy Joel – One of Doo Wops greatest moments, reminds me indelibly of a girl I loved who used to sing it to me… ugh, why did I have to remember that? – A+
5. Marshall Law – Kate Tempest – I know it’s the words but for me it’s the voice, and the paradise postponed attitude – B+
6. The Devil In My Bloodstream – The Wonder Years – How emo can you get? – B+
7. I Hope Time Doesn’t Change Him – The Drums – The best song off their disappointing new album does the trick we want it to: it adds depth to the blueprint, it makes it more – A
8. The Company Of Cowards – John Mellencamp – He sounds like he has something to say and he acts as though he has something, but he doesn’t have much. The man is shallow despite himself , which is a shame because this really isn’t a bad song until you start to listen to it: nice harp – B+
9. Now (feat Rye Rye) – Bassbectar – This is just thrilling, from the fizzy opening on, it must be shallow because it is too much fun not to be – A
10. Stereotype – Chris Brown – very addictive r&b pop move, just a fine slice of purepop – B+
