1. Real Thing – Tune-Yards – I certainly don’t dislike Merrill Garbus enough to question why you love her, it is just that her songs, like this slice of funky weirdness meets doo wop, don’t stick to me at all – B

2. Jesus Eyes – Wesley Wolfe – Sweet metaphor for the open eyed and open heartedness of true love – A-

3. Back Door Man – Tomas Doncker Band – Filthy stuff – A

4. Look What You’ve Done -Drake –  The soft jazz backing track is excellent – A-

5. I Know It’s Gonna Happen Someday – Morrissey – Hard swooping ultra dramatic bravado – A

6. Rude Boy Hip Hop – Styles P – The keeper off the current album with a fabulous chorus – B+

7. Child’s Play – SZA – Before we put SZA to bed till December, let’s give this one another spin – A

8. Yo Soy La Luz – Santana – Excellent cut featuring Wayne Shorter’s sax – B+

9. I Am – Live – Passion, Crowder – It’s like drinking alcohol free beer – C-
