Brandi Carlile

– Wherever Is Your Heart – Brandi Carlile – A flagwaver for new women country stars with the chops and the skills that seem beyond their male brothers right now. If the album maintains this level of songwriting, it will be a biggie – A-

– Los Angeles Will Have Its Revenge on Frances Bean – Gateway Drugs – druggy, somewhat Brian Jonestown-y full flop ringy dingy guitar track with a very clever song name – B+

– Medley Song – Cheap Trick – As in side two of Abby Road -they blow off “Her Majesty” for some weird reason – C+

– Idle delilah – Azealia Banks – This woman could rap to the beat of a leak in a roof hitting a bucket – B+

– Madonna – Drake – A good come on, he is gonna make you bigger than Maddie – A-

– What Calms You Down, Freaks Me Out – Astral Swans – Lo fi newbie by the weirdo folkie – B+

– When I Was Done Dying – dan Deacon – Great fresh new beat carries the folk song for EDM – B+

– Ballad Of Bilbo Baggins – Leonard Nimoy – Sing it Lenny – A++++

– Modern Girl – Sleater-Kinney – The band must like it, it was the penultimate song of the evening and a built in singalong  – B+

– Friday’s Are for Suckers – Gateway Drugs – It sounds all the same, sludge rock on drugs… but in a good way – A-
