1. We’re A Winner – The True Groove All Stars – You think it is the harp that makes it and it is, until Tomas Doncker growls and until Jenkins goes falsetto on your ass and then it isn’t any more but suddenly it dawns on you this is Tomas’s “Tenth Avenue Freeze Out” and everyone here is a winner – A
2. We’re A Winner – The Impressions – Tough for Tomas to compete with this except I prefer the harp to the horns and it really makes sense for more than one singer to handle the verses – A

5. My Love Sigma Remix – Route 94 – This is they way they used to do a remix back when I was a kid, add another beat and repeat repeat repeat the hook – B+
6. Grounds For Divorce – Elbow – The reason it sounds so much like Radiohead isn’t just the electronic arrangement, it is the lead singer – B
7. Blueberry Chills (feat Honey Cocaine) – Drug types a plenty – B+
8. Rewrite – Paul Simon – One of two really good songs off his last album and the other wasn’t “Dazzling Blue” – A-
9. How Do You Spell Love? – Bobby Patterson – Wow, that’s some tasty little lick he’s got there – A-
10. Waves – Sleeper Agent – A big song for me right, remember when LA had that So Cal Fleetwood Mac moment a coupla of years ago? This would have fit in nicely – A
