1. Changes – Neil Young –When I saw him perform this Phil Ochs song at Carnegie Hall, it was a very moving experience. But this dumb ass concept, recording it in a “Voice-O-Graph” from 1947, you know, like the one Presley recorded his first vinyl on and gave it as a gift to his mama. That one. Anyway, it is OK listening to him so lo-tech but it sounded better at Carnegie Hall – B+
2. Southern Comfort – The Orwells – Nice little power pop garage rocker madness – B+
3. This I Know – moe – The least interesting jam band on the planet (which I’m sure they are trying to save as we speak). They’re like Widespread Planet without the jazz – C
4. Love Sosa – Chief Keef – yeah, really? Tupac would kick your ass bad – B+
5. Shades Of Cool – Lana Del Rey – not as good, though somewhat similar, as “West Coast” – B+
6. Bottom Up – Bratley Grant – This is the hit? This??? – C+
7. Save Your Kisses – Brotherhood Of Man – It sounds like “I Am Woman” meets “Knock three times” so caveat emptor, folks – B+
8. Shake Yourself Loose – Kelly Willis And Bruce Robison – I could tell them the same thing – C
9. Rosa Park – Outkast – Best moment pre-Stankonia – A
10. Songs For Five And Six – Owen Pallat – I used to have a a cat named Owen, got run over by a truck – B+
