Boy happy
Boy happy

1. Boy Crazy – Lydia Loveless – Lydia sings more about getting wet than just about anybody you can think of, interesting but a persona rather than a prescription for promiscuity by this 23 year old married woman. I guess she got tired of sucking and sucking and sucking. Whatever you wanna say about Phair, she wrote from experience – A

2. Master Of The House – Sasha Cohen – Great song, but this version doesn’t get dirty enough – C+

3. Bad way To Go – Lydia Loveless – Opening track of her sophomore effort, and pretty damn excellent to boot – A

4. One Day More – Stephen Brooker – Brings the fight and the threads to the end of the first act – B+

5. Shit Shot Counts – Drive-By Trucker – Opening track and reaches a height the rest of the newbie doesn’t reach – A

6. Believer – American Authors – The definition of modern pop rock, and pretty good at it as well even if you’ve heard a similar arrangement on a dozen albums – B+

7. Scandal of Grace – Hillsong United – remixed – C-

8. Me And Liza – Rufus Wainwright – Maybe I overrate this guy – B-

9. Nerve Endings – Eagulls – Sounds like a million other indie rock bands… a million other good rock bands – B+

10. Hymn To The Pillory – Nothing – Sounds like my bloody valentine – A-
