"Hey, where are the rest of the chipmunks?"

“Hey, where are the rest of the chipmunks?”

1. All By Myself – Dave Alvin And Phil Alvin- Old fashioned in the best sense, this Big Bill Broonzy song is the definition of  country swing as blues pop tone; the brothers trade off lines very well even as they contradicts the words! – B+

2. Kiss Me – Lucy Hale – A sweet slice of a pop confection, ethereal and light, and while the production is state of the art, the actual song is kinda 50s. Though I doubt she knows it – B+

3. Earth Is The Loneliest Planet Of All – Morrissey – He is morphing into Michael Jackson without the moves – B-

4. Mozart’s House – Clean Bandit feat Love Ssega – Nerd alert, they may never get another big hit but this sure ain’t bad, the mix of the classical is really fun… – B+

5. Forever Found – Kan Wakan – Strong meat heavy orchestrated pop song – B+

6. I Am My Only – Peter Murphy – And here at the Goth rock races, please meet the last man standing – C-

7. Light Me Up – Birdy – She is really young so let’s keep our mind open while we dismiss this Kate Bush wannabe without the artiness – C

8. Mama Ist Die Groest – Isabella – Quite where this Polka showed up from I am not really sure, but it is sure fun enough – B

9. What’s Best For You – Trey Songz – He has kinda grown up over the past four years, this is pretty good mainstream r&b; sounds like Bobby Brown – B+

10. Kall Me Kubrick – Say Anything – Emo maverick back again on OK piano epic – B
