1. Most Likely You Go Your Way (And I Go Mine) – Bob Dylan and the Band  – This is the live 1974 version and as it heralds the finishing end of the 1960s, it also seems to strike out at… the audience? The US? Some girl who says Dylan’s kisses are not like his? The Band have never played purer pre-punk hard rock and Dylan never sounded more enraged – A

2. Hats Off To Larry – Del Shannon – The shock here is now the glorious falsetto on “cry cry cry” but that he wants her back on the break – A

3. Thing Called Love – Caroline Kole – Sixteen year old country singer with a big voice and a taste for Tom Petty countrified songs which morph into MCA 80s  chorus  – B+

4. My Love Has Gone – Del Shannon – So much is going on here, is it Wilson or Spector – B+

5. Wild Animals – Trampled By Turtles – You know they are bluegrass and not indie because of the banjo hidden in the mix – C+

6. Drag The River – Morrissey – Sounds like a singer songwriter move, except, well, read the name again – B+

7. Tell Me If You Wanna Go Home – Keira Knightly – This is a pleasant classic rock pop  – B

8. Book Of Revelation – The Drums – “oh let it begin, oh let it begin, oh let it begin…”  – A-

9. Dexterity – Paul Chambers – You’re not waiting for the bass, which trades off soon enough, but Coltrane who is there from the get go – A-

10. Jackson Park Express – “Weird Al” Yankovic – A Cat Stevens soundalike, and the best song off the new album, is a tremendous, extremely funny but with all the tension and tempo switches of “The Hurt” as two strangers look at each other for nine minutes – A-
