1 – Easy Love – Sigala -Sure, anybody can fashion a hit out of the Jackson 5’s “ABC” but not just anybody can fashion a masterful pop moment like this one, an addictive run round the giant pop song, with the hook on repeat. The vocal is speeded it and Michael sounds like a god in chipmunk clothing – B+
2 – (They Long To Be) Close To You – Marshall Crenshaw – A superbly produced version with the horns brought forward – A
3 – In The Meantime – Mungo Jerry – We love everybody but we do what we please – A+
4 – Ah Yeah So What – Will Sparks – Terrific beats crazy pop song with hooks aplenty and everything at a steady canter – B+
5 – Panta Rhei – Armin van Buuren – This is a gallop but a reigned in one, the bass doesn’t drop, it crouches – B+
6 – Different Drum – Linda Ronstadt – The Mike Nesmith classic that Don Kirschner insanely turned down for the Monkees
7 – Making The Most Of The Night – Carly Rae jepsen – Pretty but awful pop like a chipmunk in a wood grinder – C
8 – The Look Of Love – ABC – For one brief shining moment, Martin was a love God -yippie eye yay – A
9 – The Emotion – Borns – Sweet strange indie pop, getting bigger all the time – B
10 – Love Has No Pride – Linda Ronstadt – A great heartbreaker – A
