Servilla – War On Women – This is too hard rock for my tastes, if these guys were faster and less gothic in their mannerism they might be major and they might be major anyway… just not with me – B-

You’ve Lost That Loving Free – Tom Jones And Jessie J – Tom Jones hijacks it – B+

Painkillers – The Dreaming – I think I overestimated these guys, rock ordinaire waiting on Daughtrey to show up and plug I – C

Peaches – The Districts – The album is all over the place but this indie pop song works quite nicely – B

Everything’s Perfect – Kniflight – Very iffy electronic bombast rock – C

Isla Bella – Ricky Martin – Translates to pretty Island, and it is pretty but lacks the depth of his competition, Marc Anthony– C

Last Kind Words – Rhiannon Giddens – Good cover of a blues masterpiece – A-

Last Kind Words – Geeshie Wiley – This is the original (I think) from 1930, and it has more something in the voice, there is a hardship to her voices, a rough gruff sorrow – A

Let’s Not Keep In Touch – Retox – If you could bother deciphering the lyrics, you’d find a damaged anger – A-

Do It Daily – Martin Sexton – sounds like Boogie Woogie, like the Andrew Sisters – B+
