That’s how much Zooey is suing shoe designer Steve Madden for.
For a flip flop wearing granola munching hipster representing shoes is rather ironic.
Don’t get me wrong Mrs Gibbard is a beautiful girl with a strong voice..
but I just don’t see here pulling off the Madden look.
She was to inspire a line of shoes and accessories and when Madden negotiated the collaboration fee to $1.5 mil Zooey was still fine with it.
To be paid if the project came to fruition or not.
Well it didn’t.
Most likely cuz Madden said ‘wtf was I thinking?’.
At the cancellation Zooeys lawyers reverted to the $2 million dollar promise.
And you wonder why courts are a mess?
