The Young Veins Stripped Bare (on Daytrotter) -by Helen Bach

I had no idea what the hell Daytrotter was.  Honestly, I still don’t really get it but I was sent some great stripped down versions of a few of my favorite Young Veins songs.
I keep wishing they would tour around here again.  I did see them once but without the volume of appreciation I have for them now.  Sorta sucks.  When I first saw them last April I wasn’t really familiar with them as a separate from Panic! entity.  I spent far too much time comparing and analyzing rather than simply listening to them as they were.
So until they do, I will have to sit content with the Daytrotter versions of “Dangerous Blues”, “Young Veins”, Take A Vacation, “Everyone But You”.  so sweet.
I love these guys and you should cuz I wouldn’t steer you wrong and unlike most of what I listen to that is so genre specific, this is light and fluffy like a soy truffle.
(Editors Note: I have written about daytrotter but I haven’t explained it in over a year. Horshack is an analogue recording studio in Illinois. Daytrotter is where they post the recordings they produce at Horshack and you can download legally  and for free these recordings. Analogue, much like vinyl, is a warmer, deeper sound. I have downloaded sessions by everybody from Carly Simon to Juliana Hatfield to Titus Andronicus and many, many more. I can’t recommend it highly enough)
