What I have heard from Young The Giant I have liked a lot. Their eponymous debut album is produced by produced by Joe Chiccarelli (The White Stripes, The Shins, My Morning Jacket) and the buzz is pretty loud though Alyson seemed to find em samey on stage.
So with all this vblowin’ about em, they will be playing (don’t know where yet) a number of shows at CMJ Music Marathon October 19-23, 2010 -including daytime gigs. The definition of a great idea.
I will do my level best to miss everyone at CMJ: if I want asshole club owners hastling me I’ll go to SXSW, thanks. BUT I would be real interested to see if the band can pull it off live and if there is a lunchtime gig I might blag it.
