Mike Meyers is fast and furious in creating a prequel to the Austin Powers series to be set for live stage. The actor is currently working with co-director of Broadways "Book of Mormon", Casey Nicholow and is hoping to get his cheeky Brit character up on stage.
The storyline will explain how the swinging bloke got his infamous 'mojo'. Myers will not appear in the show, the character will be portrayed by a younger actor. Music from Burt Bacharach and Elvis Costello is anticipated as they have both contributed to the Austin Powers film series.
While this production gets put together Mike Meyers is working on the fourth installment of the Spy series.
