Willow Smith samples Radiohead "Sugar And Spice", Not Reviewed

Radiohead.  Ok the truth is I like some of their stuff. "House of Cards" is awesome and there are others as well.  I know its not 'cool' to like them but I learned long ago that I (sadly) am not cool.

Willow Smith?  Not cool either. The daughter of Will Smith who 'whipped her hair back and forth' is now hipster cool with lyrics like 'I try to be sugar and spice, but I'm melancholy and can't do anything right."  Oh, Jesus is this rich girl teenaged self loathing?

The real problem is that the story is everywhere and Youtube has pulled the video. SO, if you didn't catch it before Big Brother did- you're out of luck.  Critics are calling it beautiful and 'tear inspiring' and what I think means nothing since I haven't heard it.  Shes 12, so unless shes a phenomenal actress- this broken hearted love song may just miss the mark.

Sampling from Radioheads "Codex" I fail to see how They wanna puncture me and then wonder why I bleed”… is going to send any emotion from someone who still has her meat cut for her.  The real question is where is Will and Jada?  I'm not suggesting that Willow be singing about Barbies and unicorns but seriously its their job to protect her from looking like an idiot.

I'm all for wearing high heels and lipstick but playing grown up with grown up themes does nothing but look silly.  As soon as the streaming police let 'Sugar and Spice' out of lock up- I'm sure we will have a proper review.  I predict Iman will give it a B and I know for certain I will think its crap.
