William Beckett, “We’ve Got A Big Mess On Our Hands.” Acoustic Reviewed

On May 19th rocknyc will sit down with William Beckett to discuss his past, his future and what he loves the most.  Beckett, the former lead man of The Academy Is…, is just a kid with a great voice and a pretty face.  This acoustic version of 'We've Got A Big Mess…" was a bold undertaking.  Hard to do an anthem unplugged.

But listen to the beautiful depth of his voice.  Its times like this when you cant help but wonder why stadiums aren't filled at the mention of his tour.  Ok, he hits some tanked notes but over all- its sung so passionately that it really doesn't matter.  The details of William Becketts break from the band for solo adventures is irrelevant at this point, but I do think he is worth a tremendous amount of support.

This is the sound of a pop star, stripped down and straight forward.  I am very much looking forward to catching his show and having a chat.  I do believe there is a wealth of wisdom behind that coverboy face.
