The album may have been digitally released last month, but the artwork and the credits of ‘The King of Limbs’ was only revealed on Monday on the Radiohead fan website atease.com.
Beside the nice illustrations, there is an intriguing thank you note among the credits:
‘A big thank you very much indeed to Drew Barrymore.’
Since rumors have gone wild and fans are saying the album was recorded at Barrymore’s house in Los Angeles. They have located it in Laurel Canyon, and a picture showing a hairy Thom Yorke playing guitar in a sunny living room was even posted.
NME (which was then quoting a blog by LA Times writer Jia-Rui Cook) had reported on February 2010 that the album was indeed recorded in LA: ‘Bryan [Cook, engineer] helped transform a house in the Hollywood Hills into a recording studio and spent the last three weeks there recording Radiohead with Nigel Godrich.’
So may be it was Drew Barrymore’s place? I am not sure why it matters so much where it was recorded but the physical release of ‘The King of Limbs' is due out on March 28th.
