Panic! At The Disco is dominating everything now. Â Their performance of “This Is Gospel” on Fox’s new years eve show is just..too perfect. Â There’s something chilling about how flawless something can be and this one just takes the cake. Â I genuinely don’t understand how there can be no slip ups, no mishaps. Â Even in the higher bits of the tune (i.e. “If you love me let me gooooo”), Brendon Urie’s voice is still angelic.
The group’s massive star power is growing. Â Since it’s become, basically, the Brendon Urie Show, he has complete control as a frontman, and it’s turned out to be a good thing. Â He orchestrates a perfect show, and he’s as charismatic as ever. Â His energy and self confidence is clearly through the roof and it shows in the music videos, the life performances, the album. Â I mean, c’mon, he was half naked for 3 straight minutes in that “Girls/Girls/Boys” video.
It’s like the same concept of Miley Cyrus, just a bit let scandalous. Â No hold on- stay with me here. Â The man knows how his every move with effect those who are watching. Â He knows how he sings a note will determine how many people download the song or the odds of it getting on the radio. Â He’s a manipulative genius in a positive and innovative way. Â Cyrus is doing the same thing. Â She’s causing a ruckus is the media in order to do something new and exciting, but she controls everything. Â It’s interesting to see that act becoming a trend.
All that being said, Panic! is going to blow up even more this year with their upcoming tour and media presence. Â It’s the year of the disco, everyone.
