Who the F*ck is Almost Alice- by Helen Bach

Almost Alice

High of the viewing of Tim Burtons, Alice in Wonderland I realize I should really give a few words to “Almost Alice” the pop side soundtrack or would that be the marketable soundtrack? As beautiful as Elfmans work is as light as this one is.

Avril Lavigne, who although a parody is a great female role model. I have always loved her lyrics and her screechy sound. “Alice” which is the opening song on this release but the closing song of the film is well done but a bit yodelly. The lyrics fit the film. I can tell you that I am proud do know the real Alice, and you sort of know her to, she shows up now and then.

“Her Name is Alice” by Shinedown is a chunk of crap. I’d rather hear my name is Jonas. They sound dated and well I just don’t like the vocals BUT the lyrics are pertinent.

“Its Almost Time Now” by Richard Muenz sorta doesn’t fit the soundtrack. I’m gonna pass on writing of it cuz it furrows my brow.

“The Lobsters Quadrille” by Franz Ferdinand is a vocal masterpiece. Tim Burton should hang with Franz they’re soul bro’s

“The Poison” by All America Rejects Is an anthem. I love this band. This song is beautiful. If you only want to check one song on the lp- do this one

“Wheres My Angel” by Metro Station is also a win. Nice to hear them again. They get major spin in this house so it was great to hear a bit of maturity with whimsy. Psyched and want more.

“Very Good Advice” by Robert Smith. OMFG I heart you Robert Smith. If you are over 25, grab this. GREAT totally makes me glad to be a grown up. His pipes are clear the again lyrical perfection.

“Who the F*ck is Alice”- The Studio Group. I like any song with British boys and cursing. So.. of course I love this and will use this as the title of this piece cuz I’m in charge today!

There are others songs of course but you don’t need a play by play, All Time Low, Wolfmother, Motion City Soundtrack and more…. some great some good.
GREAT movie, the critics are killing it but fuck them go see it
