When Can We Kiss KISS Goodbye?

KISS wont go away.  Not that I think they should for any bad reason but lets face it, they're far too old for that shtick now.  With cruises on the agenda its just a matter of time before they have shuffle board tournaments in their name.

This is not to say that KISS are undeserving of our admiration.  KISS were one of the most groundbreaking acts of all time.  The training wheels for every rocker.  They had enough kitsch to make them cool and the longevity to take on new fans with each generation.  That's a quality product.

The guys have been in action since about 1973.  Their last studio work?  1998.  The Starchild, The Demon, The Space Ace, The Catman were joined by The Fox and the 'Egyptian Ankh Warrior'…. c'mon already.

This is not just a plea for KISS to retire gracefully.  The band has pushed back the release date of their 25th Anniversary Deluxe Edition of Destroyer to April 17. The 2-CD set will include the original album plus remixes and out takes.  As if that hasn't been offered up ten thousand times.

In addition, Figures Toy Company is issuing 8 and 12 inch retro KISS "action figures" showing the original members in their makeup and costumes. We can only milk this for so long- it's almost at a point that we are mocking their former cool.
