What We Need Most? A New Music Festival! "Yahoo! on the Road"

Jay-Z, Kendrick Lamar, J. Cole, Macklemore and Ryan Lewis, and special guests Justin Timberlake, Frank Ocean and Trey Songz.  Not too shabby a line up, ay?   Of course when you are internet giant Yahoo, you best produce the goods or you risk being a laughing stock.

Yahoo with one of the most recognized brandings of modern day should have their finger on the pulse of what the people want.  After all as internet royalty their traffic is the perfect sampling of the world as we know it- which leads me to surprise with this line up.  Announced at the over rated over discussed SXSW this new music festival puts Yahoo on par with Vans, Rockstar and other corporate leaders for flash and cash.

There will be a total of 21 dates on the tour, with 14 of them being in the USA. There are seven dates in Europe from Berlin to London. Yahoo said the event will be "a daily mobile entertainment and innovation festival this spring/summer featuring the world's hottest bands, comedians, and surprise guests.  They’re going with the who mulit media thing, as well they should.  They have the power resources and cash to make this a massive event.

The dates have not yet been announced, or any other details for that matter.  The tease could be just that but summer isn’t that far away so if this is going down, it’s time to get the info to the people  Although this line up won’t take away from the alt fests that happen in summer it will give a run for the money to some other major summer tours.  The fight for consumer dollar is fierce and for this to fly Yahoo needs to spill the beens within the next week or so.  Stay tuned.
