Here is a careless whisper for ya: between drugs and flops and illness, George Michael has run out of options. In theory, if he wants to scare up a lotta cash he should release yet another greatest hits and go on tour. He has a back catalog and a fan base large enough to fill a Barclay Center.
But maybe he is just too tired at this time and instead he is off to plan two, re-record his hits and select covers with a symphony orchestra and while I personally would pay cash money to hear “Wake Me Up Before You Go Go” with a symphony orchestra, maybe even “Faith”, but surely not this lot. Does he really need to re-record “John And Elvis Is Dead”?
The album is called SYmphonica and there is a documentary on the making of the album to go along with it.
The tracklisting for Symphonica is:
1. Through
2. Baby Just Cares For Me
3. Praying For Time
4. Let Her Down Easy
5. The First Time I Ever Saw Your Face
6. Feeling Good
7. John And Elvis Are Dead
8. One More Try
9. Cowboys And Angels
10. Idol
11. Brother Can You Spare A Dime?
12. Wild Is The Wind
13. You’ve Changed
