Remember when Neil Young was the real deal? So do I but that ended before the 90s began and his subsequent career has been one long drear. I’ve seen in maybe three times these century and found him tedious beyond belief and all those fucking box sets and every concert he ever performed being released. Like shut the fuck up.
As for Daniel Lanois… the man makes Rick Rubin look like Josh Lajoie.
So the thought of Lanois producing Young could drive any sane man to tears of tedium and I am sure it will.
I recommend Neil Young follow Janet Jackson’s lead and only release singles and then follow Phil Collins lead and don’t release them.
