Watch David Bowie's Holy-Bloody-Blasphemous New Video For 'The Next Day'

David Bowie continues to entertain us with his new album, as he has just dropped another video for the title track off his new album ‘The Next Day’. Starring Gary Oldman and Marion Cotillard, this one is a bloody religious tale which may stir some controversy!

Looking like a cross between a biblical prophet and Star Wars’ Obi-Wan Kenobi stuck in an underground brothel, Bowie sings in the middle of an odd crowd made of self-flagellating monks coming straight from the DaVinci code, eyeless beauties, and corrupted clergy indulging their sexual desires with prostitutes. The scene turns all gory stima in front of Bowie (with a band) simply giving a totally menacing performance of the song.

Interestingly enough, the edgy video was conceived by Bowie himself, and was directed by Floria Sigismundi. The cinematography is superb, each scene looks like a renaissance painting that has become alive, and honestly, this Jesus-Bowie is a million times better than Kanye West screaming ‘I’m God’, at that stupid Met Gala.
