Vid For Taylor Swift’s “Mine” Makes Conceptual Error

Taylor Swift’s perfect “Mine” is the story of a romantic love that works, that battles through the fights and the dangers of married life until the couple ends up together again.
The video extends the story with flashbacks to a child Taylor watching her parents fight and rooting Taylor’s insecurities into a real trauma, making sense of the breaking up line “it’s all I’ve ever known”.
And the link -she is imagining a future, the guy is her waiter at a restaurant and she is meeting him for the first time, is clever and fun.
BUT.
By the end of the video she has two sons and one should be a daughter. Why? To end the spiral of fighting and break ups with a surrogate Taylor in a happy household.
Why didn’t she? Because Taylor has become an egomaniac and didn’t want another girl in the video.
