Okay pop pickers, what would you do if you heard that one of the greatest albums of all times, Steve Crawford’s “favorite album of all time ever” was to be released as a 4 CD plus Blu Ray Box Set on September 30th? You might do what I did, order it off amazon.com and pay extra for a two day delivery so it arrives on September 30th on the dot. At least, you would if you have ears.

But this might give you pause.

Van Morrison posted the following on his website:  “A MESSAGE FROM VAN MORRISON.

Yesterday Warner Brothers stated that “Van Morrison was reissuing Moondance”. It is important that people realise that this is factually incorrect. I did not endorse this, it is unauthorised and it has happened behind my back.

My management company at that time gave this music away 42 years ago and now I feel as though it’s being stolen from me again

Yowzer,  right? Although, really, it might have been better with Van the Man’s participation, what is really pissing him off, is self-evident: Van isn’t making anything off his hard work. And I wish he was. Maybe he should re-reccord it but then he’d have to pay off WB with royalties for his own material.
