Keith Richards hit a music critic in the head because said critic had called the Stones amateurs and gave them a two out of five star review when they played Sweden in 2007.
I saw the Stones on that tour and they were excellent but hey, people of good faith, etc, and Markus Larsson didn’t like em. When Richards discovered the man who dubbed a band, whose lead singer chronically passed out on stage in the past, amateurs, demanded am apology. When Keith didn’t get one, Keith hit the writer in the head.
Markus said this: “”The mood of the rock star quickly changed. His eyes got black and he was absolutely furious. He stood up and asked if we would put out the lights and settle the disagreement straight away. At first I was just surprised, I thought he was pulling my leg, but then I realised he was serious and then I felt uncomfortable and I just wanted to get out of there pretty fast.”
Meanwhile I am reading the Stones deadly boring (how can being arrested for posession in the deep South be this much of a snooze? Insure no one is at risk for a second) auto-bio and I may have to go in hiding by the time I’m done with it.
