Autumn de Wilde’s Big Book Of Death Cabs -by Alyson Camus

A book that contains 200 photographs of any band, is certainly for a true fan of that band, and some blogs, that will remain unnamed, were making a little bit fun of the fact that Autumn de Wilde is about to release a 200 photograph book of Death Cab for Cutie, because, you know, they are not especially lookers.

I disagree, since any picture taken by Autumn, like the one above borrowed from her website, is perfect in my book.

The book published by Chronicle Books, is described on their website as a creative collaboration, since the band invited her in Massachusetts to document the recording of their album Plans, and she continued on tour with them. The pictures are a collection of on and off stage shots, as well as personal ones.

Autumn de Wilde has shot pictures of the who’s who of the indie music world from Beck, to Spoon, Wilco, Jenny Lewis, the Decemberists, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Girls, Conor Oberst, Norah Jones, Eels, Pavement, Fiona Apple, The White Stripes, Built to Spill, The Raconteurs, Tegan and Sara, and of course, I own her book about Elliott Smith which is really a beautiful work of love.
