World Aids Day: U2 and Tiesto "Pride (In The Name Of Love)" Reviewed

World Aids Day is December 1st and the fabulous people at RED have come together for and event and album that is pretty darn fun.  The First offering is this U2 remix / redo that has a thumpy beat and a catchy new vocal.

With this hepped up tempo and the minimal Bono its ridiculously contagious.  Its fantastic how a good DJ can turn an old pop tune into a sick dance tune.  I'm not even a dance fan and I find this absolutely perfect. There is something about the swell of techno pitch that can really rip a song wide open.  I can see this making a huge splash in white boy night clubs.

I am not a trained 'dance' analyst but I can tell you that other than the inhale exhale this song is so much better and more powerful than its original.  Maybe Bono just needs some one to tweak his voice to make him less annoying?

Dance (RED) Saves Lives is a dance party being thrown by RED featuring a who's who in the dance community. Streaming from Australia you have Diplo to Tiesto thumpin with 100% of the proceeds of the album (due out on November 27th) and the event going directly to AIDS related charities.  RED is on the level with a goal of bringing new cases of AIDS to 0 by 2015.  Their financial records are pretty clean and despite my efforts to find something to sneer about I got nothin'.

Dance fan? Buy this- Human fan? Take part in World AIDS Day.  Til then, dig a modified Bono.
