For two days, while looking all over the internet for stories to write about, I have been stumbling on Kurt Cobain’s corpse and Courtney Love shadowy figure… They don’t leave me alone, and I can’t stop thinking about it because it is some fascinating drama-mystery. First of all, I never understood why some people are so respectful toward Courtney Love, while she has proven many times she could be some vile human being — and I am not even talking about her possible involvement in Kurt Cobain’s death.
First there was this new note found in Kurt Cobain’s wallet and made public by the Seattle PD twenty years after his death… why? What do they want to prove? These are the questions… the note doesn’t even look to be shown in its entirety on many websites, but says ‘Do you Kurt Cobain take Courtney Michelle Love to be your lawfully shredded wife, even when she’s a bitch with zits and siphoning all yr money for doping and whoring, will you promise to fuck her at least once a week. OK’. It’s written on some San Francisco hotel stationery paper, it is undated and we don’t even know who wrote it, Kurt or Courtney? Was it a joke, was it a real sentiment than Kurt had for his wife before his death? He died with this note in his wallet, and do you joke like this before blowing your head off? It is just extremely weird that the police is releasing this now, but Detective Mike Ciesynski, who recently ‘reviewed’ Cobain’s case declared: ‘There were so many conspiracy theories out there, it was good judgment on their behalf to hold to this.’
So they were afraid that this would prove the conspiracy theorists right? Such a bizarre answer for a detective, let’s hide some piece of evidence of this gigantic murder/suicide puzzle because people could get some ideas? Instead the police made public the ‘suicide note’ which says ‘I have a goddess of a wife who sweats ambition and empathy’. I honestly don’t understand the police, may be they feel right now some pressure because of the upcoming ‘Soaked in Bleach’ movie which has P.I. Tom Grant and ‘conspiracy-theorist-in-chief for adviser? In any case, the conspiracy theories, as Ciesynski calls them, are not going to die soon, this new note has actually reactivated many discussions all over the internet.
First I went on Twitter where Titus Andronicus’ Patrick Stickles shared his opinion, writing ‘Also, I think it proves beyond a reasonable doubt that Courtney either, A ) had Kurt killed, or B ) forged fake “suicide note,” ditched real’ among other things… Patrick had actually some great lines while responding to people, lines such as ‘Okay, as long as we’re talking, that note that the Seattle cops revealed that Kurt wrote, re: C Love? #OMO it says everything we always knew’, ‘Yr absolutely right about that, but I would not use Courtney as a stand-in for the unspeakable glory of womanhood’, ‘he knew the kind of shit he had to say to get out of trouble – the new note sounds a lot more like the Love we know, sad to say’, ‘also, now that we know this, we gotta ask, what else do we NOT know? I fear we have seen the iceberg’s tip only’,… you can read the whole thing on his twitter account, and wasn’t he totally great to speak out that way?
Then I went on Facebook where singer/songwriter Mary Lou Lord, who knew Kurt very well, started a thread on her page, wondering too, why this note had been suppressed for so long… Then followed a passionate discussion with, as usual, two camps: the Courtney Love’s gang defending the suicide theory and kissing the woman’s ass to some uncomfortable degree, or others, like me, challenging the theory. And this despite Mary Lou Lord staying quite neutral on the suicide part but talking about her bad memories about the queen of grunge, charming memories such as ‘NO ONE will ever know the private pain I suffered from her and her lies, antics, and the list goes on. She is evil and always will be in my opinion. Just insane. I’m not alone in my thinking now, years later, but there was once upon a time where I was totally alone in all of this, and afraid for not just my life, but the life of my parents who I lived with at the time.’
I should say there is always a third camp, the camp of resigned people saying ‘we’ll never know the truth’, ‘the legacy is the music’,… blablabla. People who are not interested by the truth do not interest me, period. Is there someone out there who is not scared of Courtney Love? In the thread, someone insulted Tom Grant, saying things I will not repeat here, but basically accusing him to make money off Kurt’s suicide, and telling other lies at the top of this. Grant jumped in the thread, corrected the lies and put that idiot at his place, so it was an interesting afternoon, and you can read the whole thread here.
That idiot insulted me a few times, but the internet is full of assholes, so I decided to leave, hey no time to waste on this sort of crap! But a few pages later I stumbled on this….Oh no, I can’t escape it! This is a nightmare! A new story broken by The Daily Mail and the Radar, says that Courtney Love’s father, Hank Harrison, who was also the Grateful Dead’s manager, is about to publish a new book with the very revealing title ‘Love Kills: The Assassination Of Kurt Cobain’, and of course, he is talking about his estranged daughter. ‘No doubt she was capable’, declared Harrison to the Radar, ‘I can’t prove she pulled the trigger, but I can prove her involvement to a high degree of certainty’… ‘If you read the true meaning of this small note, and place it in conjunction with the rest of the evidence, anyone with even half a wit will see that something dire and awful took place,’ he added. ‘Nobody, except me, asked the obvious question: ‘Why weren’t they developed 20 years ago? They weren’t developed because the police had already decided it was a suicide and didn’t need any more evidence.’
Actually a lot of people are asking this same question! But this note is actually a distraction from the real problem, how could a guy who had injected in his system somewhere between 200 and 240 mgs of heroin could still shoot himself? Anyway, everywhere I went here she was, Courtney Love and the trail of the Kurt Cobain mystery,… so I had no choice but writing about it.
