I have a Twitter account, helenrocknyc actually, and I update it when something good is happening but I mostly use it to GET information.
Tweets can be pretty useful to a blog-gal such as myself cuz if I need a story its a quick trip to the blackberry to find whats up with whomever.
I actually started paying attention to Twitter as viable information source last summer. During Warped Tour I was tweeted who was signing where, what people were doing and where to get free Monster Energy Drink (which is horrid and not vegan).
Bands Tweet. Follow Pete Wentz, hes sorta boring now though. I used to follow my friends but I don’t really care what they’re doing most of the time and if I did I could pretty much just ask.
Bamboozle is occurring right now and according to Altpress if you need something for Motion City Soundtrack to sign, they’re selling mini mags for $5.
We as a society are bombarded with information Twitter is a way to get even more, but of what you want to know. I’m on the fence with it really.
I cant see why we would want to know Pete doesn’t want to unpack and hurray for suitcases, but I do like knowing Escape the Fate is signing at 4:30.
On days when there isn’t much going on it still makes me laugh when Live Nation is breaking info (such as Bret Micheals press conference on Tuesday) after rocknyc.
Oh and if youre interested Paramore is taking over Fuse TV tomorrow.
Im not sure if any of our other writers are Tweet, they may. Its just a resource and a pretty interesting one at that.
