If this were my list and not TV Guides, I'd make some cosmetic changes and my top ten TV themes would be heavier on the story telling portion, as well as all very very heavy 1960s and 1970s. As a music lover I am up to the minute, as a TV viewer I am a complete nostalgia buff, and that is reflected in my faves.
If 1939 was Hollywood movies greatest year, was 1959 televisions highlight. Did we never get better than Jack Benny, Milton Berle, Lucille, George And Gracie… it really is an age that resonate with me much more than 2013. In some ways, my feelings about TV are similar to other people's feelings about music.i don't wanna change. Perhaps "30 Rock" had hidden depths but what do I care about the Meta production of a TV show?
I said I am a nostalgia buff and I am, but I didn't get into 50s television till I moved to the States in the late 1970s and watched em on WPIX!
Anyway first my list:
1. The Monkees
2. All In The Family
