Good looking Australian bad boys Tracer are an instant mix of Led Zep and Status Quo: old time, headbanging metal for the denim wearing bad boy in your life. Their debut album, last years Spaces In Between is a riot of loud riffs and blues screws with a charming ounbg lead singer guitarist Michael Brown who flew from Adelaide to London to accept the Classic Rock And Rolls Hall Of Fame Awards for best new band on Tuesday night. "“I’m absolutely stoked about winning the Classic Rock Award for Best New Band,” says Brown. “It still blows my mind that we are creating and playing music we love and people are responding to it and we’re getting awards for it!”
Stoked? Awww, that's kinda cute right?
They are working on the follow up to their radio hit and if you are in the mood to kick out the jams Tracer (a great, great band name by the way) is absolutely the place to get your rocks.
No word of a US charge on the charts yet, 2013 would be my bet. But even in 2012 they'll be a huge market for this sort of heads down no nonsense riffararama. More lues based than metal is Stateside 2012, but they are a thrill ride: you'll like em.
