Hey, thanks Gordon Ramsey!  In 2011 Ramsey used The Smiths song “Please Please Please Let Me Get What I Want” as promotion for his Christmas cooking show.  For the record Ramsey is a strong anti vegetarian spokesperson, having had a show in the UK where he prepared foods in order to sway veggies back to meat eating.  Weirdest concept ever but this guy has a handful of shows in the US and well- as a ‘former footballer(soccer you Yank)’ he sure as hell gets tons of press.

BUT- don’t let Morrissey find out you’re using his stuff or you’re screwed.  Channel 4 in Britain was forced to pay a crap £10,000, or $14,000. in fines as punishment for unauthorized use of the tune.  Morrissey turned that money over to PETA to finance the anti fois gras movement “Torture in A Tin”.  For the record, to make fois gras geese are force fed with a tube down the throat and pumped full of food to get the liver to the the yummy state for your cracker.

Morrissey said: “Ramsay may very well stick his head in his microwave when he hears that the money I received from Channel 4 because one of my songs (was) used to promote his Christmas show is being donated to Peta to fight foie gras. Foie gras is so cruelly produced that he’d be against it if he had an ethical bone in his body.”   Sweet!
